How Music World’s Scale and Size Were Inspired by Iconic Global Destinations

June 19, 2024

At Music World, every design decision has been carefully crafted to strike the perfect balance between creativity, functionality, and guest experience. By studying some of the world’s most iconic destinations, we will create a destination that captures the best of global innovation while offering Heroes (our Guests) an intimate and immersive experience.

After extensive research, we decided that Music World will span 130 acres, which is approximately the size of an average university campus. This thoughtful size will provide the ideal blend of spaciousness and walkability, ensuring Heroes can fully immerse themselves in the magic of music and time travel.

Inspired by Iconic Destinations

Our design process began by analyzing renowned global landmarks such as:

  • Central Park, NY (843 acres): A timeless example of urban design, offering space for interaction and relaxation.
  • The Gardens of Versailles, France (2,000 acres): Famous for its grandeur and meticulous design, showcasing the art of balance and harmony.
  • Times Square, NY (3 acres): A compact yet vibrant space that demonstrates how impactful design can thrive in small areas.

These destinations taught us how to create spaces that encourage engagement, inspiration, and connection. Music World will integrate these lessons into a unique experience centered around music, culture, and human connection.

Town Sizes: Intimate and Immersive

Each town in Music World will cover 10 acres, which is approximately the size of two average city blocks in New York. This intimate scale ensures that each town is large enough to include immersive, interactive experiences while remaining walkable and easy to explore.

Within these 10 acres, 3 acres will be dedicated to immersive attractions, allowing Heroes to step into iconic musical eras, participate in hands-on activities, and connect with the cultural legacies of each decade.

A Walkable, Immersive Experience

By designing Music World to cover 130 acres, we will ensure that Heroes have enough space to explore without feeling overwhelmed. The size is carefully calibrated to balance variety and accessibility, enabling Guests to visit multiple towns in a single trip while always discovering something new.

The layout will allow Heroes to move seamlessly between eras, from the jazz-filled streets of Chicago in the 1920s to the vibrant nightlife of Ibiza in the 2020s. Thoughtfully designed pathways will connect the towns, encouraging exploration while preserving the distinct atmosphere of each era.

Plenty of Ways to Explore

Heroes will have the flexibility to experience Music World at their own pace. Guests can choose to cover the entire destination in one day, exploring highlights across all 11 towns, or they can spend an entire day in just one town, fully immersing themselves in the culture, music, and activities of a single era. Whether racing through the decades or diving deep into one, there will be plenty of adventure and excitement for everyone.

From interactive performances to immersive productions, Music World will offer countless ways to engage with music and history. Every corner of the destination will be filled with opportunities to create memories, making it a place Heroes will want to visit again and again.

A Destination Designed for Growth

The decision to use 130 acres for Music World reflects our commitment to creating a world-class destination that feels expansive yet personal. This size allows us to provide Heroes with a rich variety of experiences while maintaining the flexibility to adapt and expand in the future.

Our 10-acre towns are designed to maximize both functionality and immersion. Whether Heroes are performing on stage, exploring interactive studios, or strolling through meticulously recreated streets, they will find themselves fully immersed in the music, culture, and spirit of the time.

A World Where Every Acre Tells a Story

At Music World, every acre will serve a purpose. From interactive attractions to immersive experiences, every space is designed to inspire joy, connection, and discovery. By drawing inspiration from the best destinations in the world and incorporating the intimacy of university campuses and city blocks, we will create a destination that feels expansive yet personal, innovative yet timeless.

Music World: Be Happy.

LATEST

At Music World, we are taking bold steps toward creating a destination that not only entertains but also leads the way in environmental sustainability. Our commitment to a 100% off-grid and fully sustainable operation underscores our vision to be a pioneer in green innovation, turning challenges into opportunities to make a positive impact on the planet. As the world increasingly faces the consequences of climate change and resource depletion, we believe it is our responsibility to be a part of the solution.

Creating Our Own Utilities

A cornerstone of our sustainability efforts is the development of self-sufficient utility systems. To achieve this, we will establish a 50-acre solar farm equipped with state-of-the-art batteries to store energy. This facility will serve as the primary power source for Music World, harnessing the limitless energy of the sun to meet all our operational needs. By generating clean, renewable energy on-site, we eliminate reliance on traditional power grids and significantly reduce our carbon footprint. Solar farms like ours are the future, as they mirror initiatives seen in progressive cities like Freiburg, Germany, and Masdar City, UAE—places that are redefining what it means to live and operate sustainably.

In addition to solar power, we are incorporating cutting-edge technology to recycle trash and convert it into electricity. This innovative waste-to-energy system will not only help us manage waste effectively but also provide a supplementary source of power. Countries such as Sweden have proven the potential of this technology, with nearly 99% of their waste being recycled or converted into energy. By integrating similar systems, we aim to become a model of circular economy practices in the entertainment industry.

Sourcing Water Sustainably

Water sustainability is another key element of our green vision. Our plans include sourcing water from wells located on the property. This approach ensures a reliable and self-contained water supply, reducing dependence on external resources. By employing efficient water management and conservation practices, we aim to preserve this vital resource for both our operations and the surrounding environment. Inspired by global leaders in water sustainability, such as Singapore’s NEWater initiative, we are committed to creating systems that ensure water availability for future generations.

A Fully Green Operation

Music World is committed to being a 100% green destination. From energy production to waste management, every aspect of our operation is designed to minimize environmental impact. Our advanced solar farm, waste-to-energy systems, and sustainable water sourcing will work in harmony to create a closed-loop system that meets all our utility needs without external dependency. Similar to forward-thinking destinations like Costa Rica, which runs almost entirely on renewable energy, Music World is proving that entertainment and sustainability can go hand in hand.

This holistic approach to sustainability extends beyond infrastructure. It’s embedded in our philosophy of creating a destination that respects the planet while providing unparalleled experiences for our Guests. We believe that environmental responsibility is not just an obligation but an opportunity to innovate and inspire others. By taking cues from successful initiatives worldwide, we’re creating a destination that stands as a beacon of what is possible when we prioritize the planet.

Why Green Initiatives Matter

As the effects of climate change become more apparent, green initiatives are no longer optional—they are essential. The global energy transition, water scarcity, and waste management crises demand bold actions. Projects like Music World demonstrate the power of integrating sustainability into industries beyond infrastructure, showing how entertainment can lead the charge. If every business committed to creating their own utilities and embracing renewable energy, the collective impact could drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions, combat pollution, and conserve natural resources.

Moreover, our waste-to-energy system highlights a solution to one of the world’s most pressing issues: waste management. The United Nations estimates that global waste could increase by 70% by 2050 without intervention. By adopting scalable solutions like ours, we can reverse this trend and create cleaner, more sustainable communities.

A Model for the Future

By staying completely off the grid and embracing green and convertible energy solutions, Music World aims to set a new standard for sustainable destinations worldwide. Our efforts reflect a belief that the entertainment industry can and should lead the charge in environmental stewardship. As we build Music World, we’re not just constructing a destination—we’re laying the groundwork for a future where innovation and sustainability go hand in hand. Our goal is to inspire other industries to follow suit, demonstrating that a green future is not only achievable but also economically viable and socially impactful.
